Title: Legal Analyst (Spanish Speaking)

Position Overview
We are actively building a pipeline of Legal Analysts (Spanish-speaking) to support upcoming federal government requirements in international trade compliance, regulatory analysis, and cross-border legal research.
The Senior International Trade Legal Analyst provides expert-level analysis of international trade laws, regulations, compliance frameworks, and cross-border commercial issues impacting U.S. federal government operations. This role requires strong legal and analytical expertise, fluency in Spanish, and experience interpreting trade agreements, export/import regulations, and international regulatory frameworks.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting federal agencies or regulated environments involving trade compliance, sanctions, customs law, or international regulatory policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal and regulatory analysis of international trade policies, agreements, and compliance requirements
- Analyze export/import controls, sanctions regimes, tariffs, and trade restrictions impacting federal operations
- Interpret U.S. and international trade laws (e.g., ITAR, EAR, WTO frameworks, bilateral agreements)
- Provide written legal and analytical summaries in both English and Spanish
- Review and assess compliance risks related to cross-border transactions and supply chains
- Support policy development, regulatory interpretation, and advisory guidance for federal stakeholders
- Conduct legal research using U.S. and international legal databases and regulatory sources
- Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and legal memoranda
- Collaborate with legal counsel, program offices, and policy stakeholders
- Support translation and interpretation of legal/regulatory documents (Spanish ↔ English)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or related field (JD or LLM preferred but not required, depending on experience)
- 5+ years of experience in international trade law, trade compliance, regulatory analysis, or legal advisory roles
- Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government agencies or highly regulated environments
- Fluency in Spanish (professional written and verbal proficiency required)
- Strong understanding of international trade frameworks and regulatory systems
- Experience conducting legal research and preparing formal legal or policy documentation
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory and statutory language
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM)
- Experience with ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations, or customs/trade compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting DoD, DHS, State Department, Commerce, or Treasury programs
- Familiarity with international arbitration, trade disputes, or WTO-related matters
- Experience working in federal consulting environments
- Experience with multilingual legal translation in professional or government settings
Tools & Systems (Preferred Experience)
- Legal research databases (LexisNexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, or equivalent)
- Federal regulatory databases and government documentation systems
- Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word for legal documentation, Excel for analysis)
- Document management systems (SharePoint, contract/legal repositories)
- Translation tools or bilingual legal drafting workflows
- Case management or compliance tracking systems (if applicable)
